Returns Policy
We’re sure you’ll love your new glasses but if you have any concerns or questions, please get in touch. We’ll be able to help you with styling and sizing queries, suggest an alternative or, if it’s within 14 days of receipt of the package, advise on how to arrange a return.
HOW TO MAKE A RETURN/ EXCHANGE
If you’d like to return or exchange an item, please email the team on morningside@theeyemakers.co.za to confirm which item you are sending back to us and the reason so that we can arrange the most convenient service for you.
Returns can be made with your preferred delivery service. Just use the same packaging your parcel arrived in. Please be aware that goods must be received in perfect condition with all the packaging and labels still attached.
Please carefully package the goods you would like to return and send to:

Once we’ve received and inspected your return a refund will be issued to you immediately.
PRESCRIPTION LENSES
As prescription lenses are bespoke products, we cannot offer a refund for the lens value. In those cases, the frame price will be refunded. You can however exchange your prescription lenses into another frame choice (online orders only. This does not apply to purchases made in store). This is offered at no extra cost for one time only. All subsequent prescription lens exchanges will be charged at 70% of the lens cost (i.e. a 30% discount will be applied).
Please note that we cannot offer a refund on any custom orders.
FAULTY GOODS
In the highly unlikely event that you receive a faulty item please contact us as soon as you can on morningside@theeyemakers.co.za or (+27) 81 580 8670 to discuss the fault with our team and to discuss the best way of arranging return.
Then arrange for the package to be returned to TheEyeMakers on the address above.
All faulty items will be inspected upon receipt and we will contact you to discuss the best resolution for you.

Free shipping for orders over R1500 (Our own Driver or Uber Connect within a 10km radius)

R150.00 Priority shipping for clients outside our 10km radius (with Courier Guy or Aramex).

Prescriptions
Please drop us an email on morningside@theeyemakers.co.za if you would like to add a prescription to your order. Prescription orders take up to 7-10 working days to fulfil; although most prescription orders will take less time than this. We always work to dispatch your eyewear as soon as we possibly can. For more complex prescriptions or frame choices, we will contact you individually to discuss delivery schedules.
Duties and Taxes
Import Taxes - Please be aware that orders shipped outside South Africa may be subject to local import duties and taxes. These are the responsibility of the recipient and we have no control over this.
Returns and Exchanges
We offer you 14 days from the date you receive the package to return for refund or exchange. Please refer to our returns page for full details.
Please package carefully as we cannot accept damaged/used products.
International returns must be clearly marked as RETURNS on the box. Also, when the commercial invoice is generated by your choice of shipping company, the stated reason of return must be RETURNED GOODS/PRODUCTS. TheEyeMakers will not be responsible for any tax charges for returned products that have not been correctly labelled and invoiced.
